Subject: Kudos Inputs for Sept. Act. Weekend/PWA
Heads-Up Msg.
The Kudos for the September Activity Weekend announcement
message are derived from my notes and recollections from the month of August
TCC Activity Weekend and the Labor Day Weekend Landsite visits.
The purpose of the Other Landsite Maintenance, Repairs, and Minor Improvements segment

have occasion to think about, that are accomplished on their behalf
just to keep the Landsite usable for them and their clubs. Others
feel free to send me your own lists.

SUGGESTED TASKS FOR THE SEPTEMBER ACTIVITY WEEKEND:
The
primary focus of the September Activity Weekend will be support of the Fall
PWA Campout. John
Szewczyk, PWA Campout Coordinator, has already received a large number
of applications and more last minute applications expected. So
TCC Members let's make this an all-hands-on-deck weekend in support of the
PWA Campout. Contact
John when you arrive at the Landsite to sign up for specific task
assignments in support of the Campout. John Szewczyk and/or the
undersigned will be at the Landsite no later than mid-week to
coordinate and assist in the accomplishment of last minute preparations. Other
early arrivers wishing to help with preparations will be welcomed.
Some of
the task to be accomplished include:
- -Mowing and trimming of all
common areas as needed.
- -Shower Room, Restroom, Bunkhouse, Pole Barn, Kitchen,
and Fire Pit general cleaning as needed.
All TCC Clubs, individual club members,
and TCC Independents are encouraged to come and support one of only two opportunities
we have each year to support an activity for those in the community
who would not otherwise have the chance to enjoy the facilities of our Landsite.
PWA campers always prove to be a fun loving group always ready to pitch in
while they are enjoying the Landsite. And some PWA
campers have subsequently become some of the most active supporters
of the
TCC and the Landsite. Let us do all we can to make the PWAs camping
experience memorable. As can be seen from the partial list of
preparations to be accomplished above, every club/individual will find something
gratifying to accomplish. As always, looking forward to seeing
everyone.
