February 2006
TCC Officers and Members of the Land Management Committee,
I am sending this out for your review, comments, and subsequently use by the
Secretary in his heads up message for the February Activity Weekend. The Kudos
for this announcement message are derived from my notes and recollections made
during my visits to the landsite. Since you may have been at the
Landsite at times when I was not present please add items not covered herein.
The purpose of the "Other Landsite Maintenance, Repairs,
Replacements, and Minor Improvements," segment is to remind members about
the many small things, that they might not otherwise have occasion to think
about, that are accomplished on their behalf just to keep the Landsite usable
for them and their clubs. Feel free to add your own lists. Please
directly e-mail me at nbmurdoch@earthlink.net any
additions, corrections, or changes that may have escaped my attention, including
any of my club/independent affiliation annotations missing or in error.

SUGGESTED TASKS
FOR THE FEBRUARY ACTIVITY WEEKEND:
- Continued work on clearing brush from and
permanently marking the property line.
- Someone on Saturday morning to take
a front wheel from the green tractor with a worn out tire that no longer
holds air to Cameron Tire in town for replacement. (See the undersigned
for money from the petty cash fund for the new tire.)
- Installation of the
Restroom exhaust fan.
- The swimming pool needs attention to ameliorate the
effects of inattention over the winter months.
- The tall tree trunk remaining
near the Fire Pit after the top was blown down and removed earlier
needs to be felled and cut into fire wood.
- If Tom Simmons is able to come
to the February Activity Weekend, he may be looking for some help running
a new electrical line to, an installing a service panel in, the Restroom
to support the upcoming installation of an air conditioner and hot water
heater.
- Leaves continue to accumulate in the activity areas of
the Landsite that will need to be raked up and used for mulch for flower
beds or to fill in behind rock retaining walls.
As always,
looking forward to seeing everyone.
